Source: Dallas Cowboys WR Lucky Whitehead to make 53-man roster

The Dallas Cowboys have informed undrafted rookie wide receiver Lucky Whitehead that he will be a part of the club’s 53-man roster after final cuts have been made Saturday, according to a source.

The Cowboys have until 3 p.m. Saturday to set their initial 53-man roster. Whitehead will be the Cowboys’ fifth receiver after he impressed coaches and club officials throughout training camp with his ability to work inside at receiver and his value as a return man on special teams.

Remember, this will be the Cowboys’ initial 53-man roster. There are a lot of moving parts in play and Whitehead’s roster spot as the fifth receiver is always one that is tenuous.
