The Dallas Cowboys have worked out former first-round pick offensive guard Jonathan Cooper, a source said, and are considering whether to add him to the active roster.
Cooper (6-2, 310), a former standout at North Carolina, was the seventh overall pick in 2013 by the Arizona Cardinals. He was released last week by the Cleveland Browns.
Another source told SportsDay's David Moore that the Cowboys have had interest in Cooper ever since he entered the draft and potentially adding him has nothing to do with whether or not the club brings back left guard La'el Collins from the injured reserve list for the playoffs.
