Source: Cowboys, DE Thornton agree to 4-year deal

The Dallas Cowboys and free-agent defensive end Cedric Thornton agreed to a four-year deal Thursday, a source told ESPN.

Thornton visited the Cowboys on Thursday, according to the source.

Thornton, 27, found his niche with the Philadelphia Eagles as a two-gapping defensive end. During Chip Kelly's three-year tenure, Thornton started 46 of 49 games, including the playoffs. He missed three games in 2015 due to injuries.
