Sore hamstring keeps Ezekiel Elliott from finishing practice

OXNARD, Calif. -- Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott was unable to finish Tuesday's practice because of a sore right hamstring.

Elliott had his right leg stretched during a break in practice and was held out of the final portion of team drills. Wednesday's off day might come at a good time just to give him some extra rest. He will have it examined further in the morning.

With Elliott watching from the side, Alfred Morris took the first-team snaps for the final four plays.

The Cowboys have just three tailbacks eligible to practice with Darren McFadden (elbow) and Lance Dunbar (knee) on the non-football injury and physically unable to perform lists.
