CANTON, Ohio -- Terrell Owens will not be in Canton this weekend.
Owens becomes the first player elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame to snub his induction ceremony. Instead, he'll stage his own celebration with a speech on campus at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, where he attended college.
Best we can tell, his feelings remain hurt from having to wait three years for his election. Owens believes he should have been a first-ballot Hall of Famer and was quite vociferous in his criticism of the election process when he was passed over in each of his first two years of eligibility.
