OXNARD, Calif. — Sean Lee has been handled with care in training camp. He has yet to participate in 11-on-11 drills since the Cowboys began practicing in pads on Sunday as team officials carefully bring along one of their most prized and fragile assets.
But Lee anticipates he’ll be on the field during the exhibition season that kicks off Aug. 13.
“I would expect to play,” said Lee, who is lining up at weakside linebacker these days. “I don’t know. It’s up to the coaches. I would expect to play a lot in the preseason.”
Lee’s recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee that was suffered in May 2014 has been a topic of discussion since the Cowboys arrived here.
