IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Scott Linehan has been on the wrong side of history when it comes to catches that weren’t.
In 2010, he was the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator when Calvin Johnson made a seemingly sure touchdown catch against the Chicago Bears only to see it overturned by replay. Last January he saw Dez Bryant’s catch at the Green Bay Packers' goal line overturned by replay in the Cowboys' divisional playoff loss.
“I’ve been through agony of the Calvin Johnson play and the Dez Bryant play and it’s just hard to say that those great players that were made weren’t great plays, that they were actually not finished,” Linehan said.
