IRVING, Texas – Since there are not enough lockers to go around for 90 players this time of year at the Dallas Cowboys’ Valley Ranch facility, players often have to share a space. Sometimes the pairings are just coincidence.
It’s safe to say the pairing of brothers Rod Smith and Jaylon Smith is not that.
Rod is a tailback turned fullback who spent 11 games on the Cowboys’ 53-man roster last year as a rookie. Jaylon is the Cowboys’ highly touted second-round pick out of Notre Dame, who is likely facing a redshirt season as a rookie because of a serious knee injury.
