Roc Nation asks federal court to toss marketing company’s lawsuit over Dez Bryant deal

Back in April, the sports marketing company tasked with making sure Dez Bryant’s “X” marked the spot on the web where people buy official merch sued Roc Nation and its sports-agency subsidiary, claiming Jay Z’s agency intercepted their client. And until yesterday that suit had stalled in a Dallas County courtroom.

But Roc Nation and Roc Nation Sports now wants the case moved to federal court in Dallas — and tossed out altogether.

Very long story relatively short, says one of several filings deposited in Dallas yesterday: “No employee or representative of Roc Nation has ever had any dealings or involvement with the Plaintiff, Dez Bryant, Dez I Enterprises, Inc.
