As the former All Pro safety prepares to enter free agency, the Cowboys have emerged as a serious contender for Thomas’ services mostly due to the positional need next to Xavier Woods and the player’s own love for his hometown team.
But on Wednesday, 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, who played alongside Thomas for seven seasons, admitted that he was trying to recruit the star safety to come to San Francisco.
