McClain, whose 10-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy concludes Monday, has been working out and wants to return to football, according to SportsDay's Brandon George.
On Thursday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn't rule out McClain possibly rejoining the roster at some point, but said that McClain wouldn't be back with the team Monday.
