Report: NFL owners discussed new potential National Anthem rules and kneeling penalties | Fort Worth Star-Telegram

NFL owners put three hours aside to speak about several key issues in Atlanta on Tuesday, including how to deal with the national anthem protests.

Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated says a source told him about one proposed solution. In that scenario, the home team would decide whether both teams come out of the locker rooms. And if a player or players kneel, then that team or teams would be assessed "15 yard penalties" as a result.

The NFL is currently being sued by Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid. Both are former members of the San Francisco 49ers and are currently free agents.
