The Dallas Cowboys are about a week away from making a decision on Mike McCarthy. Obviously the Cowboys’ season will end on Sunday afternoon which means that if they want to get a jump on things they will take care of matters as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, this is not the Cowboys’ way. They usually prefer to draw out the process of moving on from, or bringing back, a current head coach, in this case Mike McCarthy.
Consider that the 2019 season ended on December 29th and that it took until January 5th of 2020 for the team to make a formal announcement that they were moving on from Jason Garrett at the time.
