Over the course of the offseason the Cowboys brought in veteran help along the offensive line and that included the signing of guard Marcus Martin.
Martin was slated to back up someone with the same surname, Cowboys premiere right guard Zack Martin, this season. His presence was set to provide legitimate depth in the event of an emergency, unfortunately it looks like that won’t get to happen.
According to ESPN’s Todd Archer Marcus Martin is facing surgery on his right big toe in order to repair a torn ligament.
