The Cowboys might dip into their past for new Ring of Honor candidates, but it looks like it won’t be players up for the honor. According to a report from Jean-Jacques Taylor, a source with the Cowboys says the next person in line for a spot in the Ring of Honor is former vice president of player personnel Gil Brandt. He worked for the Cowboys from 1960 to 1988 and is a legend in the scouting area of professional football. He, along with general manager Tex Schramm and head coach Tom Landry, created the Dallas Cowboys and they were all responsible for the franchise becoming a dynasty, and becoming so popular they were dubbed America’s Team.
