The second week of free agency is just about in the books, but just because it’s the weekend doesn’t mean that the National Football League stops rolling. While the Dallas Cowboys have been busy adding safeties so far this offseason (Keanu Neal, Jayron Kearse, Damontae Kazee), they have notably not negotiated a deal with one in particular. Xavier Woods saw his rookie contract with America’s Team expire this offseason and it has been rather obvious that the organization is moving on without him.
Saturday brought the news that Woods has found a new home. Like many former Cowboys defensive backs before him, he has flocked to Mike Zimmer which means that he is now a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
