Cornerback became an even larger need for the Dallas Cowboys this offseason when Byron Jones left for the Miami Dolphins in free agency, and as a result we saw the team draft two corners last weekend. Trevon Diggs and Reggie Robinson II give the Cowboys more depth and options at cornerback, but the reality is that the team is still in need of help at safety. Dallas signed Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in free agency, but that is the only addition to date.
Reggie Robinson II does have some safety flexibility, but it is worth noting that in the team’s post-draft press conference Mike McCarthy hinted that the Cowboys could move a veteran cornerback to safety.
