Report: Anthony Hitchens didn't tear ACL vs. Raiders; could still miss eight weeks with knee injury

Update: According to ESPN's Todd Archer, Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens suffered a tibial plateau fracture in his right knee. Hitchens will likely need eight weeks to recover.

After last night's game against Oakland, Dallas feared the injury could have been much more serious.

Original post (Aug. 26, 11:25 p.m.): ARLINGTON -- The Cowboys are "very concerned" about the status of linebacker Anthony Hitchens, executive vice president Stephen Jones said, after Hitchens suffered a right knee injury in Saturday night's preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.
