Dak Prescott and Randall Cobb where both in attendance at Atlanta's Fox Theatre in February for the 2019 NFL Honors show. It was there when Cobb ran into Prescott and told him to "come get me."
What started as a casual tongue-and-cheek moment, came into fruition when the Dallas Cowboys signed Cobb to a one-year deal the very next month.
Both acknowledged the light-hearted conversation had no influence on how negotiations progressed and actually came to a formality. But the two are enthusiastic about the result.
"Yeah, he said that," Prescott said of his interaction with Cobb at the NFL Honors.
