President Donald Trump on Friday morning tweeted praise of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' policy requiring players to stand "to on the line" for the national anthem.
"Way to go Jerry. This is what the league should do!" Trump said.
Jones laid out the team's policy during Wednesday's news conference to open Cowboys training camp in Oxnard, Calif.
"As far as the Dallas Cowboys, you know where I stand, the team knows where I stand. Our policy is you stand during the anthem, toe on the line," Jones declared.
His son, Cowboys VP Stephen Jones said that players will follow the policy "if they want to be a Dallas Cowboy" on Thursday.
