HOUSTON -- The Cowboys couldn't have asked for much more from their defense Sunday against Houston.
Well, one more stop would have been nice.
But the Cowboys' defense was the reason this game stretched deep into overtime before Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn made a 36-yard field goal to give Houston a 19-16 win at NRG Stadium and in-state bragging rights.
Despite a vaunted effort by the defense, in the end the unit couldn't hold up any longer against Houston. After the Cowboys' offense stalled out at the Texans' 42, Dallas chose to punt rather than go for it on fourth-and-1.
