If the Cowboys don't trade out of the 19th overall pick next month, the best player remaining on their draft board could end up being an offensive lineman.
When faced with a similar scenario in recent history, Dallas has picked the offensive lineman and experienced excellent results. That strategy has landed Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick and Zack Martin, arguably the NFL's best left tackle, center and right guard. The Cowboys have also added a first-round talent in right tackle La'el Collins.
Left guard and backup tackle are the only positions that carry some uncertainty.
So if they are put in a similar position this time around, the Cowboys should again pick the offensive lineman, right?
