FRISCO, Texas – There have been times lately when Dak Prescott has pulled into a drive-thru at, say, What-A-Burger and the person handing him his burger, fries and drink gives him a curious look, like he should know who this person is.
They'll ask him, "Are you Dak?"
“I tell them no, and then I tell them yes as I drive off,” Prescott laughed.
Dakmania has been bubbling practically since Prescott threw two touchdown passes in the Dallas Cowboys' preseason opener. With the Cowboys off to a 3-1 start in the regular season in Tony Romo’s absence, and Prescott playing well, his presence off the field has grown.
