Dallas Cowboys tight end Geoff Swaim is out indefinitely after fracturing his wrist of the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 22-19 victory against the Atlanta Falcons.
He will undergo surgery, though coach Jason Garrett refuses to declare him out for the season.
Swaim has 26 catches for 242 yards this season and is the team’s most complete tight end.
The Cowboys will face the Washington Redskins Thursday with Dalton Schultz, Rico Gathers and Blake Jarwin splitting reps at tight end, all have limited skills and experience.
The three have combined for only nine catches for 121 yards all season.
