The Dallas Cowboys are likely responsible for the two most shocking moments in this year’s NFL Draft. The first shocker was Dallas taking a running back with the fourth overall selection in the first round in Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott. The second, drafting injured Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith with the 34th overall pick the very next day.
If Cowboys fans were scratching their heads with the selection of Elliott in the first round, than the Smith pick probably had some standing on their heads! The former linebacker for the Irish suffered a devastating knee injury in his final game in January.
