After losing out on the opportunity to add one of the top two cornerbacks in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys elected to trade their first-round pick. Sending the 10th overall selection to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys dropped to No. 12 and received Philly’s third-rounder at No. 84 to boot.
With the 12th overall selection, the Cowboys drafted Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons. That defensive focus continued in the second round as Dallas addressed their need at cornerback with the addition of Kelvin Joseph out of Kentucky.
