Philly cut ties with a safety they acquired at the trade deadline.
Kevin Byard’s time with the Philadelphia Eagles has come to an end.
The Eagles are releasing the veteran safety after just one season. ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the move.. The move will save them $13.7 million in salary cap space.
Philadelphia acquired Byard from the Tennessee Titans in October in exchange for safety Terrell Edmunds and fifth- and sixth-round picks in the 2024 NFL draft. The move didn’t work out as the franchise had hoped.
