The Cowboys have created more salary cap space by restructuring the contract of another veteran player.
According to a source, Dallas is restructuring tight end Jason Witten's deal, a move that will create roughly $3.5 million in cap space.
The Cowboys restructured center Travis Frederick's contract last week, freeing up an additional $7 million. Tyron Smith and Sean Lee are two other veterans the Cowboys could also decide to restructure in the near future, converting the majority of their 2018 salary into a signing bonus.
These moves aren't necessarily a sign that Dallas is on the verge of making a significant move.
