OXNARD, Calif. -- At his first practice with the Dallas Cowboys, Luke McCown was mostly a spectator.
After arriving at the tail end of the walkthrough, McCown, wearing No. 3, was on the field Saturday but did not know any of the plays. At different times he would lean into starter Dak Prescott's huddle and listen to the quarterback call the play in offensive coordinator Scott Linehan's system.
McCown is entering his 14th season in the NFL, spending his last four with the New Orleans Saints as Drew Brees backup.
