OXNARD, Calif. — Lance Dunbar will return to practice today. The backup running back took part in the Cowboys’ morning walk-through on Saturday. This will be Dunbar’s first training camp practice since spraining his ankle on Aug. 5.
“I’m excited,” he said Saturday. “I can’t wait to test my ankle back out and get back with my teammates, instead of sitting on the sideline, watching them hurting. I’m excited to get back out here and build on what we’re trying to do.”
Dunbar received some reps with the first-team offense during the walk-through. He was the second-team running back behind Joseph Randle during the team period near the end of the morning session.
