The Dallas Cowboys had another free agent get a new deal with a different team as Lance Dunbar has reportedly reached agreement with the Los Angeles Rams to play there this fall.
Dunbar was supposed to be the change of pace back for the Cowboys, but his career was marred by injury. He was finally healthy in 2016, when he scored his first touchdown as a pro. But the emergence of Ezekiel Elliott rendered Dunbar’s role somewhat superfluous. The fact Darren McFadden could do much the same while providing better pass protection also minimized Dunbar’s value to the team.
