Brandon Carr isn’t going anywhere – at least not this season. Asked whether the cornerback will be on the roster this season, owner Jerry Jones said, “Yes.”
But Jones didn’t rule out the possibility of adjusting Carr’s contract to get some relief this year. Carr’s 2015 cap number of $12.7 million will be the third-highest on the team once receiver Dez Bryant signs his franchise tag tender. This season, Carr will make $8 million in base salary. Although Carr’s agent, Ben Dogra, said his client would refuse to take a pay cut, the cornerback’s deal could be restructured or extended to reduce the amount allocated toward him this year.
