Jon Kitna spent 17 seasons as a quarterback in the NFL. His last four years as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. His last game was in Week 17 of the 2013 season in Dallas. Kitna came out from retirement for a single game in order to be an emergency backup for Kyle Orton.
Six years later and Kitna has returned to the Cowboys, this time as their new quarterbacks coach, filling the void left by Kellen Moore who was promoted to offensive coordinator in the offseason. And the presence of the 46-year-old veteran gunslinger seems to already be paying dividends.
