Dallas Cowboys center Travis Fredrick announced some surprising news on Wednesday night. The Cowboys stud center let the world know he has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, an auto-immune disease that can have serious consequences. At this point, we don’t know much about Frederick’s future in terms of overcoming the symptoms of his disease, or returning to playing football again. He’s optimistic about it, and hopes to be back as soon as possible, but there is the serious possibility he might miss at least some of the season.
Travis Frederick said he is hopeful that the doctors have diagnosed his case of Guillian Barre syndrome early enough to where he can play as soon as possible, but multiple sources said he could miss multiple weeks as he recovers from the auto-immune disease.
