FRISCO, Texas – The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced its 27 modern-era semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018, and three have Cowboys ties: Jimmy Johnson, Terrell Owens, and first-time semifinalist Everson Walls.
Walls, a four-time Pro Bowl defensive back with the Cowboys from 1981-89, is only the second player in NFL history to lead the league in interceptions during three different seasons. He’s one of four first-time semi-finalists, joining LeRoy Butler, Leslie O’Neal and Simeon Rice.
Johnson, a semifinalist last year, coached back-to-back Cowboys Super Bowl championship teams in the 1990s.
