OXNARD, Calif. -- Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones could be entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame next summer.
Jones was selected as one of two finalists in the contributors' category with former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue. The 2017 class will be determined Feb. 4, 2017, the day before Super Bowl LI is played in Houston.
The contributor category started in 2015 for candidates that did not play but shaped the history of the game. Former San Francisco 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. was inducted this year as a contributor.
