IRVING – As of Tuesday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys have the 27th pick in Thursday’s NFL Draft. But Jerry Jones made it clear earlier in the day that picking that late in the first round increases the chances that the team trades out of that spot.
“You probably increase the chance, in my mind, of movement either down or up,” Jones said. “It takes two entities to do that and it takes another team. We didn’t have the opportunity last year to make a trade so it takes another team showing that kind of an interest. All the work and hustle in the world on the phone doesn’t get it done if there is nobody wanting to make a trade.
