OXNARD, California -- Colin Kaepernick was not an option for the Dallas Cowboys as they looked to find another quarterback when Zac Dysert went down with a back injury that required surgery, according to owner and general manager Jerry Jones.
The Cowboys signed veteran Luke McCown on Friday. McCown was at practice Saturday after flying in from Dallas in the morning but he did not take any snaps behind Dak Prescott, Kellen Moore and Cooper Rush.
Kaepernick remains without a job after throwing 16 touchdowns with just four interceptions in 11 starts for the San Francisco 49ers in 2017.
