FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones has consistently turned down requests to discuss his son's exploits on the football field this season.
He didn't want to take attention away from John Stephen Jones, who's attempting to lead Highland Park to its first championship since Detroit Lions quarterback Matt Stafford did it in 1995.
And Stephen Jones, a high school quarterback before playing linebacker at Arkansas, knew there was a good chance he'd get emotional about the topic.
