Jerome Henderson to interview with Browns; deal expiring with Cowboys

IRVING, Texas -- Changes on coaching staffs is common year to year and that will likely be no different for the Dallas Cowboys in 2016.

Secondary coach Jerome Henderson is one of six assistant coaches with an expiring contract, and he is among those who will interview for the Cleveland Browns head coaching vacancy, according to ESPN’s Ed Werder.

Henderson joined the Cowboys in 2012 to reconnect with then-defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, with whom he worked in Cleveland. He served under Monte Kiffin in 2013 and Rod Marinelli the last two years.

The Cowboys had the fifth-ranked pass defense, but the secondary accounted for only five of the Cowboys’ eight interceptions.
