OXNARD, Calif. -- For the first time at Dallas Cowboys' training camp, Jaylon Smith brought out The Swipe.
Smith ended Monday's practice with a would-be sack of backup quarterback Kellen Moore. As he jogged to the sideline, his teammates called for The Swipe, a celebration Smith said he started his sophomore year in high school and carried through his time at Notre Dame.
"It's a part of me," Smith said of the celebration where he swipes at the gorund. "It's kind of eradicating the past, nothing that happened in the past matters, energizing the team and getting everybody going.
