FRISCO -- Dez Bryant is one touchdown catch away from setting the Cowboys' new franchise record. Bryant tied Hall of Fame wide receiver Bob Hayes last Sunday at San Francisco with TD grab No. 71.
Bryant leads the Cowboys this season in targets (58), receiving yards (327) and receiving touchdowns (4).
But across the NFL, 42 players have more receiving yards and 35 players have more receptions.
Those stats have critics saying Bryant's career is in decline. Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden doesn't see it that way.
"What people are mistaking nowadays in pro football, I think, fantasy football numbers and stats," Gruden said this week during a conference call with reporters at The Star.
