Last season, Dallas Cowboys‘ tight end Jason Witten decided it was time to hang up the cleats and join the ESPN Monday Night Football broadcast.
It was a rough year for Witten who didn’t necessarily excel in the booth like former Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo did. Witten knew it was time for a change and decided to return to the field on a one-year deal worth $5 million.
According to NFL.com’s Herbie Teope, Witten is excited about his return to the field and looks to be a leader next season.
