FRISCO, Texas -- Jameill Showers is doing whatever he can to remain with the Dallas Cowboys.
A year ago, he moved to special teams from quarterback during training camp and spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad playing multiple positions.
He remains on the practice squad this year but moved from quarterback to safety.
"It was kind of a mutual thing," Showers said. "It was mentioned to me and I was like, 'I'll do whatever you want me to do.' I know it'll be easier for me to get moved up to play special teams playing safety.
