By the sound of things, the Cowboys running back doesn't believe there will be that many players ahead of him for much longer.
"I think we're really close, really close, to where we need to be," Elliott said Wednesday. "We're just like one block, one man away from hitting some big ones.
"We've got to keep working, keep staying disciplined, stay focused and keep grinding and get ready to execute."
Elliott has rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys' 1-1 start.
