Is Britain’s Efe Obada a Cowboys tight end or a defensive end? Jason Garrett is trying to find out

IRVING — The Dallas Cowboys signed Britain’s Efe Obada to a three-year contract April 1 and want to give him time to develop.

The Cowboys had their first chance to see Obada against other first-year players at their rookie mini-camp over the weekend at Valley Ranch. Though he’s a longshot to make the final roster, Obada has a great build at 6-6, 255 pounds but his football skills are raw. He’s only played five games of American football.

The Cowboys put Obada at tight end Friday, the first day of the three-day mini-camp. He struggled catching the football. The Cowboys had him at defensive end Saturday.
