IRVING, Texas -- When the Philadelphia Eagles signed Fletcher Cox to a six-year contract extension with $63 million in guaranteed money, it just added to the NFC East arms’ race.
Since Jan. 1, the Eagles have guaranteed more than $280 million in contracts. The New York Giants and Washington Redskins have guaranteed the second and third most in the same timeframe.
New York has guaranteed more than $140 million and Washington has guaranteed $114.7 million.
