In the end -- if this is, in fact, the end and one can at least see it from here in the Ezekiel Elliott case -- the NFL won as we were told it would. If there is a lesson to be learned beyond life not being fair, I could say it's to watch your step if you're a prominent athlete but even that one doesn't really fly here.
