Suspended defensive end David Irving remains away from the Dallas Cowboys to take care of ongoing issues that include substance abuse.

He did not report to training camp and is not expected back with the team Oct. 1, following a four-game suspension to start the season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Irving is working out at an MMA facility owned by Fox Sports reporter Jay Glazer.

On Friday night, however, went on a rant on Instagram in response to a fan criticizing him for his drug use.
