How Kellen Moore intends to make transition from soft-spoken quarterback to leader of Cowboys' offense

OXNARD, Calif. - Kellen Moore is this mild-mannered, soft-spoken person.

As a football player he was a starting quarterback and his demeanor never really changed at a position where he must command 10 other players in a huddle. At Boise State, he set the NCAA Division I FBS record for wins in a career with 50. In 2010, Moore finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy race. He played for two NFL teams, the Lions and Cowboys, as mainly a backup.

So Moore's demeanor didn't seem to bother his path toward being a player.

When Moore ventured into coaching, becoming the quarterbacks coach last season, he had to speak in front of maybe five people, the three quarterbacks and maybe two other coaches.
